The work will include improving and optimizing current processes, implementing new tooling, improving existing tooling, and creating robust technical documentation on existing processes and tooling.Job Description: * Develops, implements and analyzes manufacturing engineering plans and projects and communicates them to internal and external customers. * Defines, develops and transfers manufacturing and engineering tools, strategies and systems. * Develops manufacturing strategies for specific products and processes. * Actively participates with engineering project teams in order to coordinate the release of new products. * Estimates and tracks manufacturing costs, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.* Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations. Essential Functions: * Implementing manufacturing standard work and best practices to improve operational metrics.* Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-products.* Work with existing and legacy equipment.* Control and improve existing processes.* Perform failure analysis and risk mitigation.* Complete technical writing and training related tasks.* Coordinate with maintenance group for equipment upkeep and training.* Ability to obtain a US security clearance.Qualifications:*Bachelor"s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills:* Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.* Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering background preferred. * Experience with legacy tooling, code, and equipment.* Robust project management and technical writing skills.* Ability to communicate project status and risks to leadership team.* Expertise in making data driven decisions to improve and develop processes.* Experience using DFM, Six-Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing Principles.* Experience using DMAIC process and associated tools. Must Haves: * Bachelor"s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
